The client, who was widely travelled, had acquired a number of artefacts, rugs and pictures. Together with furniture that had been purchased at different stages of her life, this meant that the lounge was visually confusing and in need of ‘pulling together’. We agreed that we would go back to basics, which meant a new colour scheme, furniture, lighting and soft furnishings. The client chose Sanderson’s Dandelion Clocks wallpaper for the feature walls, and the colour scheme of magenta, lime and grey informed the whole scheme. The finished result is sophisticated, modern and, above all, very easy to live with.
